Let me start off with saying that I love ice cream. Blue Bell is one of the best ice cream comanies in my opinion if you are going off of taste alone. However, many flavors contain high fructose corn syrup and at almost 200 calories per 1/2 cup serving I’m tipping the top end of my caloric needs for the day.
One evening the hubby and I were sitting around the house and we both had a huge sweet craving. Not wanting to drive to store, and actually wanting to not need my ice cream fix after dinner, I experimented. After rummaging through the fridge and pantry I decided that I would have some yogurt and grapes topped off with a bit of cinnamon. MMMMMM so yummy!
This is the one I made tonight, which contains red grapes and soy yogurt because I’m trying to stay away from dairy for my own personal reasons. I watched the movie Earthlings and I it completely changed the way I view food.
My sweet tooth has now been satisfied and it didn’t even include ice cream!
